Rate Analysis - Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) M10 (1:3:6)
Rate Analysis of PCC |
Rate analysis for Plain Cement Concrete (PCC)
requires estimation of materials for PCC, i.e. quantity of cement, sand
and aggregate required for 1m3 for various proportions, i.e., PCC M10 (1:3:6), 1:2:4, etc. So, let us first
calculate quantity of cement, sand and aggregate required for 1m3 Plain
Cement Concrete (PCC).
Most knowing point for rate analysis
When
you start doing rate analysis we must remember these points :
-
Item for rate analysis (Name of the Item i.e.
PCC, RCC, Brickwork etc. )
-
Specification (type of material, quality of
material etc. )
-
Unit (per Sqm, Cum, Rm etc.)
-
Labour
-
Material
-
Overhead (Profit for contractor)

2) Sand
3) Aggregate
Now calculating material
For
1m3 of wet or solid Plain Cement
Concrete (PCC) ratio (1:3:6) , we have to multiply with factor 1.52 for dry
density than 1m3 become 1.52m3 of cement, sand
& aggregate is required, due to presence of voids in sand in dry state. So,
cement sand and aggregate quantity is calculated for 1.52m3 of
PCC.
Dry
volume = 1.52 m3
Ratio = 1:3:6
It means we have to
mix 1 unit cement 3 unit sand and 6 unit aggregate than total amount of mix =
1+3+6 (for example M15 (1:2:4)
= 1+2+4= 7)
= 10
Now ,
Volume
of cement = 1.52/10 = 0.152 m3
Volume of sand = 0.152 x
3 = 0.456 m3
Volume
of aggregate = 0.152 x 6 =0.912 m3
Cement
volume for one bag = 0.0347 m3
Cement in bag = 0.152 / 0.0347= 4.38 bag = 219 kgs
Estimation of Labour and Tools for Plain Cement Concrete:
For
1m3 of Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) Ratio 1:3:6 , unskilled
labour is required for 4 man-days for mixing, for carrying of cement, sand,
aggregate and water. Skilled labour is required for 1man-day for placing,
checking, of concrete on required line level for 1cum.
Rate Analysis of Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) 1:3:6 :
Rate analysis of Plain Cement Concrete
requires the rate of cement, sand and aggregate multiplied with their
respective quantity. Cost of labour and tools and tackles for the PCC is also calculated. Cost of cement, sand,
aggregate, labour and tools depend on
local availability and local rates.
When,
quantity of cement, sand, aggregate, labour and tools are multiplied by its
rates, and a contractors profit of 10-20% is assumed, the total sum of the
amount is taken as the cost of 1m3 of PCC, which is shown below
